Dynamic Analysis of Forest Land Changeover And Forest Ecosystem Services Value in North China: A Case Study in Chaobai River Basin
The studies were carried out to evaluate and predict the forest ecosystem services value from 1972 to 2040 in Chaobai River basin for realizing green GDP accounting. A four-period Landsat TM images and land use data with Markov model were used. As the result of this study, all types of land use turned to forest land gradually in the whole trend, with the method changing from very simple to quite complex and the frequency changing from very small to quite large through the 4 periods from 1972 to 2008. The total forest area and the total value of forest ecosystem services both gradually increased from 1972 to 2040, though the increasing range of the latter was significantly larger. Among all the services, the value of water conservation accounted for the largest of the total. The coniferous, the broad-leaved and the mixed played a dominant role in the changing process of the forest ecosystem value during 1972 to 1987, 1988 to 2000 and 2001 to 2040, respectively, indicating that the forest ecosystem services value per unit area would have increased during these periods...
