Cell science (also referred to as cellular science or cytology) deals with examination and scientific study of the cell structure and function. Cell science of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells encompass various sub disciplines including cell digestion, cell communication, cell cycle, organic chemistry, and cell composition. Analysis of cells is performed utilizing a research methods such as cell culture, different levels of microscopy, and cell fractionation. These technologies have revealed new information on how cells function, eventually leading to deeper understanding of biology of higher life forms. Knowledge of the cellular components and how cells work is crucial to all organic biological sciences while the general cell science is fundamental for scientific investigating for biomedical applications including cancer, and other illnesses. Cell science is multidisciplinary in nature and is related to other scientific disciplines such as genetics, heredity, physiology, immunology and molecular biology.
