Radiation Chemistry

Radiation Chemistry
Radiation chemistry is a subclass of nuclear chemistry which deals with the study of chemical consequences occur due to radiation on the biological matter; this is very different from radiochemistry as no radioactivity needs to be present in the material which is being chemically altered by the radiation. Basic research of radiation chemistry should interact more with its applied research to create overlapped specific areas between them. Interface research fields with radiation chemistry should be produced more with mutually common viewpoints and research interests between the two concerning the ionization and excitation of molecules in the matter and induced chemical, physicochemical, and biological reactions. The interface research fields here mean not only applied ones, but also basic ones.
