Climate Change

It is the science of collecting data on an area from a considerable distance, with the help of radar or infrared photography, to observe the earth or a heavenly body these sensors can be on satellites or mounted on aircraft. Remote sensors can be either passive or active. Passive sensors respond to external stimuli. They record natural energy that is reflected or emitted from the Earth surface. Remote sensing has enabled mapping, studying, monitoring and management of various resources like agriculture, forestry, geology, water, ocean etc. It has further enabled monitoring of environment and thereby helping in conservation. In the last four decades remote sensing has grown as a major tool for collecting information on almost every aspect on the earth. Climate change is a change in average weather conditions. Climate change is caused by biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Climatology is the study of climate, defined as weather conditions averaged over a period of time. Climatology is approached in two ways Placeoclimatology and Plaeotempestolosy.
